About Grow Life Homesteading

A community-driven organization built on the belief that growing your own food is one of the most powerful things a person can do.

Our Mission

At Grow Life, we want to give people back the power of what it means to grow their own organic food and live a more sustainable and healthier lifestyle regardless of time, physical capability, or educational means to maximize their harvests each year. We want to revolutionize the food market and reconnect people to their natural state of living. Grow Life is about building a community, living closer to the Earth, and reacquainting ourselves with the people around us because food is something that will always bring us all together to the table.

— Grow Life Homesteading

Our Core Values

🌱

Self-Reliance

We equip every client with the infrastructure and knowledge to produce their own food and live more independently — regardless of their starting point.

🤝

Community First

The strongest homesteads are built together. We foster neighbor-to-neighbor connection, food sharing, and mutual support through everything we do.

🌍

Stewardship

We build with the land in mind. Every practice we use restores and enriches rather than depletes — leaving the soil better than we found it.

🍽️

Food as Connection

Food will always bring us to the table together. We believe growing and sharing food is one of the most human things we can do — and we're here to make it possible for everyone.

Built for Every Kind of Grower

Whether you're a family wanting to grow your first garden bed or a church looking to build a community food forest — if you're ready to reconnect with the land, we're ready to help you do it.

🏡

Residential Homesteaders

Families and individuals ready to grow their own food and build a more self-sufficient life.

Churches & Community Centers

Organizations looking to build shared gardens, food programs, and sustainable outdoor spaces.

🌾

Small Farms & Rural Properties

Landowners wanting to build productive, regenerative systems on larger acreage.

Plans & Pricing

Flexible plans built for every stage of your homesteading journey — from first-time gardeners to full food system homesteaders.

Maintenance Plans

Regular, scheduled care so your homestead stays productive year-round without you having to worry about a thing.

📋 A Note on Pricing

The prices below are baseline starting points. Your actual monthly quote may vary based on your total square footage, the number and type of specialty systems on your property, and the maintenance demands of those systems. For example, a row of berry bushes may only need occasional watering and pruning, while a chicken coop requires regular hands-on care and monitoring. We'll work through all of this together during your consultation to build a quote that accurately reflects your property.

🎖️ Service Discount — Veterans, Law Enforcement & First Responders

We're proud to offer a 10% discount on all maintenance plans to active and retired military veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders. Thank you for your service. Mention your status during your consultation and we'll apply the discount to your quote.

Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Grow Life Homesteading's services or The Community Table.

By using any service offered by Grow Life Homesteading or participating in The Community Table, you agree to the following terms. These terms were last updated March 2025. Grow Life Homesteading reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

1. Maintenance Plan Terms & Cancellation Policy

Maintenance plans are billed on a monthly recurring basis. By enrolling in a plan, you authorize Grow Life Homesteading to charge your selected payment method each month until cancellation.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to EMAIL at least 7 days before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.

Grow Life Homesteading reserves the right to adjust pricing with a minimum of 30 days written notice. Continued enrollment after a pricing change constitutes acceptance of the new rate.

Specialty system add-ons are subject to an additional monthly fee agreed upon during your consultation. These add-ons may be removed with the same 7-day written notice required for full plan cancellations.

2. Crop Insurance Terms & Limitations

Crop insurance plans are add-on subscriptions available exclusively to active maintenance plan subscribers. Coverage begins on the first scheduled visit following enrollment.

Coverage is limited to losses that occur under the specific conditions outlined in your selected tier (Basic, Standard, or Premium). Grow Life Homesteading is not liable for losses resulting from client negligence, unauthorized modifications to the property, or circumstances outside the scope of the enrolled plan.

Crop replacement under Standard Coverage applies only to plants that have not exceeded 20% of their expected lifespan at the time of loss (juvenile stage). Mature plant losses are not covered under Standard Coverage.

Orchard & Berry Exclusion: Coverage for orchards (fruit trees, nut trees, food forest plantings) and berry systems (berry bushes, brambles, perennial fruiting plants) is not included under Basic or Standard Coverage. These perennial systems carry a higher replacement value and longer establishment period than annual crops. Coverage for orchard and berry losses is available exclusively under Premium Coverage ($45/mo). Clients with orchards or berry plantings who are not enrolled in Premium Coverage assume full risk for loss of those systems.

Definition of a Loss Event: A loss event begins at the time the customer first observes damage, death, or abnormal decline in their crop or system. It is the customer's responsibility to monitor their property and report issues promptly. Losses that occurred prior to the customer's first observation are still subject to the reporting window below.

All insurance claims must be reported within 72 hours of first observation of the loss event. Claims submitted after this window may be denied at the discretion of Grow Life Homesteading. To report a claim, contact us directly at EMAIL or by phone.

3. Pay-Per-Visit Terms

Pay-per-visit services are charged at the listed rate plus a $50 visitation fee per visit. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Cancellations or rescheduling of scheduled pay-per-visit appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.

Pay-per-visit services do not include crop insurance coverage or loyalty program eligibility. To access those benefits, enrollment in a monthly maintenance plan is required.

7. Referral & Loyalty Program Terms

Referral rewards are issued as a 10% discount applied to the referring customer's next billing cycle. The referred individual must sign up for and complete their first month of an active maintenance plan for the reward to be applied.

Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated. There is no limit to the number of referrals a customer may make.

Loyalty rewards are automatically tracked based on consecutive months of active subscription. Rewards are applied at the 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month milestones. Gaps in subscription reset the loyalty counter.

Soil Amendments We Use

Healthy soil is the foundation of everything. We feed the soil, and the soil feeds your plants. Every amendment we use is chosen to build long-term fertility — not just a quick fix.

🌱

Compost & Vermicompost

The backbone of our soil program. Finished compost and worm castings deliver a broad spectrum of nutrients, beneficial microbes, and organic matter that dramatically improves soil structure and water retention.

🔥

Biochar

A highly porous carbon structure that acts as a long-term habitat for beneficial soil microbes. Biochar improves drainage in heavy soils, boosts water retention in sandy soils, and sequesters carbon for decades.

⛰️

Rock Dust & Minerals

Glacial rock dust and mineral blends remineralize soils that have been depleted over time. Trace minerals are the difference between food that merely grows and food that truly nourishes.

🍄

Mycorrhizal Inoculants

We inoculate root zones with mycorrhizal fungi to build the underground network that plants depend on. This dramatically extends root reach, improves drought resistance, and increases nutrient uptake — naturally.

🌊

Kelp & Fish Meal

Ocean-derived inputs rich in naturally chelated minerals, growth hormones, and amino acids. Kelp meal stimulates microbial activity and plant immunity. Fish meal delivers slow-release nitrogen that feeds without burning.

🌿

Bone & Blood Meal

Bone meal provides slow-release phosphorus for strong root development and flowering. Blood meal is a fast-acting nitrogen source used strategically to kickstart growth during key periods without synthetic intervention.

🌾

Cover Crop Biomass

We strategically use cover crops — clover, rye, buckwheat, vetch — to fix nitrogen, suppress weeds, and chop-and-drop as green manure. This is living soil building in real time.

🔄

Composting Methods

We don't just pile and hope. Our composting approach is intentional and layered — hot composting to kill pathogens and weed seeds, vermicomposting for the richest castings, and cold composting for long-term slow decomposition. We also take sourcing seriously — all materials we bring in are vetted to ensure they are free of PFAS and other harmful forever chemicals.

  • Hot composting — 130–160°F kill zones
  • Vermicomposting with red wigglers
  • Chop-and-drop composting in place
  • Compost tea brewing for soil drenches
  • All sourced materials vetted PFAS-free
🌿

Cover Cropping & Soil Health

Bare soil is a problem. We keep the ground covered year-round using strategic cover crop mixes tailored to your region and season. This suppresses weeds, prevents erosion, feeds the soil web, and builds organic matter without any inputs from off-site.

  • Nitrogen-fixing legume blends
  • Crimson clover for nitrogen fixation & pollinators
  • Winter rye & hairy vetch for cold seasons
  • Buckwheat for fast summer coverage
  • Daikon radish for compaction breaking
  • Pollinator-friendly mixes between beds
🐛

Pest & Disease Management (IPM)

We use Integrated Pest Management — meaning we work with nature before reaching for any spray, even an organic one. Healthy soil grows resilient plants. Beneficial insects, companion planting, and physical barriers handle the rest. Intervention is targeted and minimal.

  • Beneficial insect habitat plantings
  • Companion planting for pest confusion
  • Neem oil & insecticidal soap as last resort
  • Row covers & physical exclusion
  • Crop rotation to break disease cycles
  • Fermented plant juice foliar sprays
💧

Water Management

We design every property to catch, slow, and sink water before it leaves the land. Swales on contour, rain gardens, and pond systems transform rain from a runoff problem into your most valuable resource. Drip irrigation and deep mulching minimize what you use.

  • Swales & earthworks on contour
  • Rainwater harvesting & storage systems
  • Pond & natural swimming hole construction
  • Drip irrigation & sub-surface delivery
  • Deep mulching for water retention
  • Rain garden & bioswale design
📅

Seasonal Maintenance

A productive homestead requires a rhythm. We maintain seasonal schedules tailored to your specific property, climate, and crops — so nothing falls through the cracks and your land is always one step ahead.

  • Spring: soil prep, early planting, pruning
  • Summer: irrigation management, succession planting
  • Fall: harvest, cover cropping, soil amendment
  • Winter: infrastructure repair, season extension
  • Year-round: compost turning, pest scouting
🐔

Animal Integration

Animals are a core part of a functioning homestead ecosystem. We integrate chickens strategically to cycle nutrients, manage pests, and build soil fertility — using proven systems like chicken tractors and chicken tunnels to put their natural behaviors to work on your land.

  • Chicken tractors for garden prep & pest control
  • Chicken tunnels to direct flock movement between beds
  • Rotational grazing & paddock design
  • Manure composting & nutrient cycling
  • Coop placement for maximum land benefit
🌳

Permaculture Design Principles

Permaculture isn't a technique — it's a lens. We design every property as an integrated system where each element serves multiple functions and every output becomes an input somewhere else. The result is a landscape that becomes more productive, more resilient, and less dependent on outside inputs every single year.

Observe First

We study your land before we touch it — sun, wind, water flow, and soil.

Stack Functions

Every plant, structure, and animal serves at least three purposes in the system.

Catch Energy

Water, sunlight, wind, and biomass — we design to capture and use each one.

Use Edges

The most productive zones are edges. We maximize them in every design.
